Richmond Ambulance Authority find cost and efficiency savings
Cost/benefit analysis
Richmond Ambulance Authority (RAA) and Richmond Fire Department (RFD) recognize that studying demand and performance has become an ongoing work steam at the heart of any successful public safety agency. The light of this RAA used ACTIVE’s suite of applications to look at where RFD could achieve efficiencies in cost and performance through a study of use and contribution of RFD stations, apparatus and staff.
RDF wanted to see an alternative approach to demand audits, performance studies and cost/benefit analysis, with a particular emphasis on whether RAA could conduct these investigations quicker than RFD’s existing systems and processes.
Through ACTIVE’s workload modelling application RAA established a fast, easy to apply and accurate systemized approach to studying the cost/benefit conundrum facing public agencies.
Improvements to work-flow, data compatibility and dynamic/static deployment architecture are in hand following the pilot at RAA which will further enhance the standing of these systems as rapid, easy to apply accurate tools for the study of continuous performance and cost/benefit improvement.
